Art inspired by the images of the Magic Lantern Shows of the 1800s. Used for illuminating images on walls or cloth drapes in bygone days, many magic lantern slides were hand-painted. Ours are reversed-printed by hand with organic ink on glass using the diminishing art of gravure engravings from centuries ago. Once each piece has been kiln fired, cooled, and detailed by hand, we line each with natural Belgian linen and frame with a Larson•Juhl French gris foncé moulding adorned with an antiqued bronze finish ball with twisted decorative ring hanger.
